Services.

I offer both individual weekly and intensive therapy (longer session lengths for a shorter total duration of treatment) to teens and adults who are motivated for treatment for a range of mental health concerns.

My speciality areas include:

  • Anxieties including shyness or social anxiety, perfectionism, self-criticism, imposter syndrome, generalized worry, panic, phobias, health anxiety

  • Depression, low self-esteem, feelings of shame and/or inadequacy

  • Relationship problems including conflict and fears of vulnerability

  • Insomnia or sleep difficulties

  • Behavior change for unwanted habits such as overeating, emotional eating, procrastination, and more

  • Pre-pregnancy and prenatal anxiety and depression

Fees.

My fees are comparable to other experienced psychologists providing evidence-based treatment in California. Please note that I am not in-network with any health insurances; however, if you have out-of-network benefits I can email you electronic versions of your session invoices for you to submit to your insurance carrier for partial reimbursement. You may also want to consider using a flexible spending account (FSA) or a health savings account (HSA) to cover your therapy fees.

Fees are collected at the beginning of each session via credit card through a secure client portal website (i.e., Sessions Health). Please note that I maintain a 48-hour cancellation policy for 55-minute sessions and a 72-hour cancellation policy for extended, 80 or 100-minute sessions. I will charge my full session fee if cancellation is less than 48 (or 72 hours) in advance.

What should you expect?

In the initial intake session, we will discuss your symptoms, presenting concerns, and relevant background information. Once we ensure we’re a good fit, we will have a detailed discussion about the TEAM-CBT treatment approach and work together to outline your specific treatment goals so you can feel prepared and know what to expect in future sessions. You can read testimonials on the main homepage to learn more about what previous clients’ experiences have been like in therapy with me.

My main objective as your Cognitive Behavioral Therapist will be to help you learn how to change your thinking and the way you feel; overcome your fears; create deeper, more meaningful, authentic connections with others; and feel confident to face challenges on your own even after our time together in therapy ends. I might be an expert in CBT, but you are the only one who is the expert on your life experiences. We will partner collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that ensures you meet your unique goals and improve your quality of life in a time frame that works for you.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
